CDS New Releases!

Good morning friends!!

Please forgive me in advance if my post is rather short today.  I have a set of five year old twins that have come down with a nasty stomach virus that is going around **again**.  I am praying to God that the rest of us do not come down with this and have Lysol burned into my nostrils from disinfecting the house so much in the past few days.

With that being said, its new release time over at Clear Dollar Stamps and I have three creations showcasing just some of the fabulous new releases that are now in the CDS store!

My first creation was made using the You're My Peep digital image release just in time for a head start on those Spring or Easter cards!

Isn't that little chick the cutest?  The image is precolored and I also used the digital paper for the bg that matches perfectly.  The set also comes with a b&w outlined image, some adorable matching sentiments and a couple of papers too!

For my second creation, I used some digital paper and a precolored image from the Butterfly Bunny new release.

Precious, isn't she?  And the sentiment in the corner of my card comes with the new set as well!

Last, but definitely not least, my third creation uses a beautiful Scripture from the Love Scriptures digital new release.

The set comes with six fabulous sentiments that demonstrate God's love for us!

To see these sets and all the other fabulous new releases, click here to take you to the Clear Dollar Stamps store!

Hoping that you each have a healthy and fabulous day ahead of you!

New Color Challenge at The Outlawz

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!  Hoping today you can snag lots of hugs and kisses :)

It's time for another Color Challenge at The Outlawz!

My teamie Guylou has chosen this fab and funky color scheme for you to play with.  Let's hear it for Rural Green, Fuchsia Berry and Black:

Our Fabulous February twist is for you to add a checker print on your project whether it be your dp, some stamps or embellies - the sky is the limit!

For my creation today, I used a fabulous vintage image and sentiment from TLC.   I decided to keep the card pretty CAS for mailing purposes and to keep the focus on that beautiful wreath.  Both image and sentiment are slightly distressed and I added some texture by embossing the panel behind the image.

Our fabulous Sponsor this month is Di's Digi Downloads and one lucky winner will receive a five (5) digi images of their choice from her online store!!

We hope you'll come on by and play along with us this week - we'd love to see what you do with this fabulous color combo!

Stacked with Fun!

My little ones were invited to another birthday party for their oldest friend.  She is a couple years older than my girls but still little and in that sweet, girly mode :)  What image to use on her card......hmmmm.....

I decided to use the Biggest Wishes set from Clear Dollar Stamps - its so super adorable and thought it worked perfectly for a little girly girl's birthday card :)  The set comes with this fabulous outlined image and some matching sentiments that are just too cute!

After constructing the basic lo for the card, I realized that I really didn't like the sentiment on the front no matter where I tried to put it, and thought it would be better on the inside.  Usually I just adhere a matted, plain piece of white cs to the inside, but tried to do something a little more fun.  I'm always amazed with how some of you make the inside just as beautiful as the outside *I think I need a little more practice with this, lol*!

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have a great day ahead of you!!

Can Can The Giants Win Today?

Ok, corny title for a blog post, but as I'm posting this I'm also prepping for the big game party we're having in a few hours!!  As you can tell, I'm totally a die hard Giants fan and have been since I was a little girl.  Soooo, I'm hoping that the Giants can-can win today :)

And talking about Can-Can's, lemme show you what I created using a fabulous image and sentiment from TLC!

I drew a lot of inspiration from quite a few sources for this one:  I am always inspired by my Clear Dollar Stamps teamie and friend, Lisa Lara, who always blows me away with her clean and simple cards utilizing all the colors in the rainbow.  If you haven't run into Lisa, and would love to see some of her creativity, then click here to go to Lisa's blog!  Don't forget to tell her that I sent ya over :)  I think there's a bit of Xanadu *remember that movie?!* in this one too with the outlining of the characters in the background with a teal blue.  I relied solely on plain cs so as not to distract from the image and did a little faux stitching with my Copic multiliner on the stars and some dots around the sentiment! Finally, Sketches By Carly #49 brought it all home.  If you have a chance, try to check out the sketch this week -it really was a lot of fun to work with!

Oh, and guess what?!! Paulette at TLC is hosting a Fairytale Blog Hop on February 18th and me and my teamies would love it if you could hop along with us!!

If you've ever hopped with us at TLC before, then you know how awesome these hops are - this one you definitely don't wanna miss!

Back to my chili and meatball prep!!  Hope you have a fun game day.  Remember to be safe and responsible :)

You're So Not My Sweetheart! Challenge at Guylou's

It's challenge time over at Guylou's Inimitability and, our lovely and talented teamie Kim, has chosen such a fun theme for you all to play along with!!

Instead of making a Valentine for your sweetie, Kim is challenging us to make a project for someone other than your significant other AND to include the color Black.

For my creation today, I used the beautiful Bernadette image in the GI online store.  Bernadette is also part of the Retro Beauties set which includes three other fabulous leading ladies!

I paired her with the hilarious and oh-so-perfect sentiment from none other than TLC.  I have a lot of friends who this card would be perfect to send to that share the same sentiment :)  The card is a hybrid of some old Martha Stewart glittery cs and some digi paper which you can find at BirdsCards for free by clicking here!  I lightly distressed the edges of the image and sentiment in some black distress ink just to add a little more definition.

You have until February 16th to play along and we sure hope you do!! One lucky winner will receive quite a prize pack:  a $10 gift certificate to Guylou's online store as well as a Guest Designer spot for an upcoming challenge!

So come on over to Guylou's and show us what ya got!!

Hope

When the world says, "Give up,"
Hope whispers, "Try it one more time."
~Author Unknown

There is a new set in the TLC store called Cross of Hope.  It's filled with five of the most beautiful crosses I've seen!!  I was blessed to be able to play around with the set and wanted to do something a bit different for it since the crosses in the set are just so beautiful by themselves.
That's when I decided to try a center step card.  I've never done one before and to my pleasant surprise, it really wasn't hard at all!!  In fact, I'll definitely be doing this folded style again in the near future:  it was so much fun and has such a stunning effect!

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have a fabulous day ahead of you!
